Elaine Rogers
I help business owners develop and enhance crucial aspects of their personal & business effectiveness.
Currently, I am helping a lot of clients with employee retention and motivation. I also work closely with individuals who have found themselves out of work and needing Career Direction and Coaching. This can include CV preparation, Interviewing techniques and confidence building.
As well as my extensive Training and Development experience, I hold a BA in Computers and Mathematics from UCC and Diploma in Training and Development from the IITD.
I also hold the JEB Diploma in ICT Skills and am a qualified Microsoft Train the Trainer.
“After many years of working for others in a 9-5 environment (well it was more like 8-6), I felt I needed some direction in my life, and came across Life Coaching in 2004. This proved to be the catalyst of many great happenings for me. I qualified in Personal and Business Coaching to pursue my passion for positive change. My passion and interest in people has stemmed from a long career in Training and Developing people out of and beyond their comfort zones. I have also upgraded my Coaching skills in the areas of Career Coaching.
I abide by the LBCAI’s excellent code of ethics, which every Coach should follow closely. My experience whilst studying was profound and life-changing. Of course, this does not imply that everyone should part take in a training course, but training to be a Life Coach provides the tools to be pro-active in one’s own personal development, which as you can imagine, is on-going.
Any kind of personal development demands self-discipline and perseverance. I feel every single person has the ability to be their own guide, expert and coach. But the reality is, some of us need extra guidance and support with our journey. That is why I initially became a Trainer, and later a Personal and Business Coach.”
“What I gained from the sessions is as follows: life is still every bit as hectic but I’ve been able to receive more clarity about my personal and professional life and am more accountable to myself, and reminded me to value myself.” – Recruitment Officer, Cork
Inspiration
What inspires a name? The same senses that inspire us in our daily lives. What is in a name anyway? It’s not just about text, it’s about seeing, feeling, touching, it’s about BEING.
I am inspired by the beautiful landscapes of County Cork, and specifically the Ballyhoura Mountains, often overshadowed by the majestic Galtees. Seefin mountain peak rises 528 meters above the beautiful Golden Vale, allowing extensive views of six counties, as far north as Shannon on a clear day.
So where does the name Seefin come from?
Seefin was originally, in Irish language, Suí Finn which then translates back into English as the Seat of Fionn (Mac Cumhaill). It is so named because, according to tradition, Fionn (Mac Cumhaill) and the Fianna stopped here in their travels around the country.
I am inspired by nature and people, and I feel the name Seefin is very appropriate for what I aim to achieve with Coaching, as it represents beauty, elegance and trust for me.
Awareness
According to Deepak Chopra “If we want greater harmony and well-being in our lives and in the world, the first step is transforming our awareness”. Awareness cannot be unlearned. Once we become aware, we cannot become unaware. This is a crucial fact I learned while studying Life Coaching, and notice it every day with my clients. Whether it is a good or challenging awareness, it cannot be undone. By creating awareness in a coaching session, the client recognises the tools within themselves to move forward and be pro-active in their own journey through positive change.
