Inspiration
Elaine was inspired by the beautiful landscapes of County Cork in Ireland, and specifically the Ballyhoura Mountains, close to where she has lived for the past 13 years. These 10km long range are often overshadowed by the majestic Galtees. Seefin mountain peak rises 528 meters above the beautiful Golden Vale, allowing extensive views of six counties, as far north as Shannon on a clear day.
Seefin – Suí Finn
So where does the name Seefin come from? Seefin was originally, in Irish language, Suí Finn which then translates back into English as the Seat of Fionn (Mac Cumhaill). It is so named because, according to tradition, Fionn (Mac Cumhaill) and the Fianna stopped here in their travels around the country.
Elaine is inspired by nature and people, and she felt the name Seefin was very appropriate for what she aims to achieve with Coaching, as for her, it represents strength, elegance and trust. She has climbed her mountain, and the views at the top of your game can be amazing too!
In 2013 Elaine moved from County Cork to the foothills of the Pyrenees in SW France. Her heart will always remember standing at the top of Seefin Mountain and experiencing the thrill, clarity and joy of feeling “on top of the world”. She now explores the peaks of the wonderful Pyrenees, climbing yet higher!
Awareness
According to Deepak Chopra “If we want greater harmony and well-being in our lives and in the world, the first step is transforming our awareness”. Awareness cannot be unlearned. Once we become aware, we cannot become unaware. We can choose to take note, or ignore. This is a crucial fact Elaine learned a long time ago, and notices it every day with her clients. Whether it is a good or challenging awareness, it cannot be undone. By creating awareness in a coaching session, the client recognises the tools within themselves to move forward and be pro-active in their own journey through positive change.

In 1994, I left Ireland to travel extensively across Africa, South America, Central America, USA and Canada. My return to Ireland in 2000 began my involvement in training and development. In 2013, I left my homeland again to live in the SW of France, and another new chapter in my life began. I have developed self directed learning and coaching solutions which I promote on my other website thesmarttrain.
